This first edition of Lisaniya Adabiya: Studies in Language and Literature contains research articles in the fields of linguistics, literature, and translation, contributed by 16 authors from 4 countries (Indonesia, Egypt, Malaysia, and Yemen). The articles highlight several important issues, such as discrimination against women, binary opposition in literary texts, values ​​of religiosity in manuscripts, semantic and pragmatic analysis of language phenomena in cyberspace, and evaluation of Arabic song translations.
