PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Adabiya: Landscape of Arabic Language and Literature Studies is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of peer-review integrity and ensuring the quality of the review process. After the editor evaluates your work to determine if it is appropriate, it will undergo a single-blind peer review process conducted by independent and anonymous expert referees. The average duration from article submission to publication is 12 weeks.
The steps of the peer review process are as follows:
Step 1: Editorial Assessment
The process of peer review consists of multiple stages, commencing with the submission of your paper to a journal. During the initial phase, the journal editor will assess the suitability of the submission by evaluating whether the author has adhered to the guidelines provided by the journal. Is this the appropriate journal for this article? Will the journal's readers perceive it as intriguing and valuable? If the editor does not reject the article outright, it will go to the next level, which involves undergoing peer review.
Step 2: First round of peer review
The editor will identify and reach out to possible referees or other scholars who possess expertise in the topic of the essay. The readers will be requested to peruse your piece and provide guidance to the editor regarding the decision to publish your paper in Adabiya: Landscape of Arabic Language and Literature Studies.
Step 3: Revise and resubmit
Subsequently, the Author has the opportunity to revise your article on the feedback provided by the Reviewers, and subsequently resubmit it with all or any alterations implemented. If the editor deems the adjustments the Author has made to be insufficient, the Author may be required to make additional revisions or face the possibility of paper rejection.
