The first edition of Adabiya: Landscape of Arabic Language and Literature Studies features scholarly articles in the field of Arabic language and literature, authored by 7 authors from Indonesia. These articles explore a range of significant issues, including the concepts of Islamic theology (ʿilm al-kalām) and Sufism in Arabic short stories, postcolonialism in Arabic song lyrics, literary criticism during the early period of Islam, a comparative study of antonyms in Arabic and Indonesian, and the application of genetic structuralism theory in Arabic short stories. Overall, this edition offers a valuable contribution to the study of Arabic linguistics and literature.
